Celtic Congress in Brittany 2012

Culture Vannin gave a grant to the Manx branch of the Celtic Congress to enable the Manx folk music duo Strengyn (Matt Kelly and Paul Rogers) to travel and stay in Brittany for the 2012 International Celtic Congress in Guingamp. During their stay, the duo were fantastic representatives for the Island, performing in concerts and ceilidhs.

The International Celtic Congress is held once a year with one of the six Celtic countries hosting the event according to a pre-approved roate, these countries being Brittany, Cornwall, Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland and Wales. An International Celtic Congress involves lectures, visits to places of cultural and historic interest, and music and dance events.
