The Arrane son Mannin (Song for Mann) is an annual competition in which groups perform newly written Manx Gaelic songs in front of a jury. The winning song is taken to the Pan Celtic festival in Ireland and performed in an Interceltic song contest.
For a number of years, Culture Vannin has provided an annual grant of ã300 prize money for competition winners. In 2013, Culture Vannin also funded the cost of the venue hire and PA.
The winning song, which was brought to the Pan Celtic Festival held in Derry in April 2013, was 'Ny Jean Keayney' (Don't Cry). It was written by cousins Jonee Fisher and Daniel Ntuiabane, and performed by Jonee Fisher (vocals) and David Kilgallon (piano).
