The Fear Not Family is the story of a Peel fisherman's family between 1878 and 1929. The author, David Moore, was awarded funding by Culture Vannin to assist in publishing costs. The book explores the story of the Peel nickey the Fear Not, which was wrecked in a storm when sailing past the Calf of Man. David Moore's Grandfather, James Moore, was the owner and skipper of the vessel and survived the disaster.
In this book, David Moore draws on family letters and photographs to evoke a flavour of everyday life in a rapidly changing world.
