Baatyn Manninagh ec Dunkirk

A film in Manx Gaelic about the enormous contribution Manx ships and sailors made to Dunkirk.

One in every 14 troops evacuation from Dunkirk in 1940 was on a Manx boat.
Under heavy attack from enemy fire, over 300,000 troops were evacuation from the beach, and it could not have been done without the Isle of Man Steam Packet boats and others from the Island. In fact, the first boat to complete the round trip from the English coast to Dunkirk and back was The Mona's Isle.

This short film presents a quick overview of their story, and the terrible losses their incurred.
