Yn Chruinnaght Festival 2010

The Inter-Celtic festival Yn Chruinnaght ('The Gathering') was awarded a grant by Culture Vannin towards the annual celebration of Manx culture and the Island's relationship with the other five Celtic nations.

The 2010 festival took place between 10th - 18th July and featured a full programme of concerts, ceilis, sessions, workshops and the Ian O' Leary lecture.
Artists included 'The Red Hot Chili Pipers', who gave an energetic performance at the Villa Marina supported by the Manx group 'The Mollag Band'; Scottish singer Emily Smith; dazzling Irish band 'Beoga'; Cornish group 'Dalla'; Breton duo Robic & Guillarme and Welsh duo Harriet Earis (harp) and Ian Wyn Rowlands.

Young musicians were also given a chance to shine in a Youth Music Concert at Bunscoill Rhumsaa (formerly 'Scoill Ree Gorree') which was headlined by the group Nish As Rish who at that time were University music students.
